Contender for cutest baby portrait of the year?

Sometimes you get back from a shoot just itching to show off the images straight away.  That’s exactly how I felt after a trip up to Lancashire to make some beautful portraits of this young lady.  With the exception of a couple of sneak previews on my facebook page I had to resist the temptation until after the viewing which was yesterday so now I can show off what a cute baby she is.

beautiful warm monochrome portraitTo make things easy for mum I visited her to make the portraits rather than asking her to come to the studio, and when I got there I was pleased I did.  She had beautiful huge North facing windows which gives a lovely soft light and you really can’t ask for more when photographing babies.  it means there are no studio lights to worry about securing and you can concentrate completely on capturing the perfect expression.

As you can see Anjulli is absolutely beautiful and she was very generous with her smiles.  Apparently she doesn’t smile all the time and is known to have a paddy when she isn’t getting her own way but I’m not convinced.  All we saw was smile after smile after smile, with a healthy dose of giggles thrown in for good measure.

Anyway enough chat, I’ll leave you to judge for yourself whether this little angel is a contender for cute baby of the year or now.

Cute doesn't come close to describing this baby portrait
